So do I just rename that kext to AppleHDA and put it in S/L/E and then add the plist info to clover?

No rename.

Install the injector kext to /S/L/E. Restore AppleHDA.kext to vanilla. Add plist info to your config.plist. Reboot. Repair permissions & rebuild cache. Reboot.

It is a kernel flag. With Clover, kernel flags to to Boot/Arguments.

Hi RehabMan

I looked at all possible places and have not found the defer_usb2 bootflag or anything related.

But suddenly my USB3 port seems to be working itself even with iPhone.

Thanks & Regards

Kernel flags are entered in config.plist/Boot/Arguments

There is also a few other places they can be entered (custom entries).

See Clover wiki: http://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Home

I checked the boot arguments, It is only showing kext-dev-mode=1 and there are no Custom boot flags being shown in the Clover Configurator also.
It seems the USB3 port is working intermittently. I connected the iPhone 1st(battery drained out) it started to charge it as well But as the iPhone booted, it stopped charging.
Later i connected the USB HDD, it was working normally.

I am not able to understand the issue. If you have any idea, please enlighten me.

Thanks & Regards

Try with -gux_defer_usb2. Compare/contrast results.

Hi RehabMan
I am working with the -gex_defer_usb2 flag and it is still behaving the same. USB 3 port is working great but iPhone still not connecting from this port.

Hi RehabMan
I am currently booted with the -gex_defer_usb2 flag and it is still behaving the same. USB 3 port is working great but iPhone still not connecting from this port.

Hi, Rehabman,

I just installed Yosemite onto my Sony Vaio VPCSE2. The USB3 port does not work. I tried both the GenericUSBXHCI kext from Multibeast and the one you posted in this thread. The DSDT is the same used used in Mavericks on the same laptop, on which USB3 port worked fine. I added -gux_defer_usb2 kernel flag and did not work either. Anything else I need to do? Do I need to apply those USB 7-series/8-series and USB3 Multiplex patches to DSDT?
