USB mouse not working after upgrade to Yosemite

DO NOT select USB 3.0 Universal. that is only for series 5&6 boards, I believe. 7, 8, and 9 series do not need that usb kext.

What does that mean 5&6 Series boards. how can I tell what series I have?

I think what is meant is the Chipset.

I have a Z87 Chipset so it would be series 8.

I can confirm that it is the USB 3.0 Kext

I have removed the USB 3.0 Generic KExt and all USB Ports are working now!!

Confirmed, uninstalling the generic usb kext fixed the issue for me.
