I just successfully updated my hackintosh to Yosemite form 10.9.5 to 10.10. I realised that half of my usb ports aren't woking, but they worked perfectly with Mavericks. And the ones that work change upon each reboot. Any ideas???

I'll bump this thread as I'm getting exactly the same problem.

To add to it, my keyboard takes about 3 minutes to get found on bootup, and it's a usb keyboard.

Same problem here. I've lost 2 USB ports on the front of the case.
All on mobo work fine.

Also, can't get iMessage to work.

I am having the same issue on my gigabyte Z77-DS3H after update.

Don't use the 'USB 3.0 Universal Kext' in MultiBeast, Yosemite comes bundled with those drivers already and you will get conflicting results (Ports not working) on your system.

Correct. USB 3.0 Universal is only for series 5 & 6 boards. 7, 8, & 9 do not need it.

How do i delete the Universal 3.0 installed with Multibeast?
