nice work! thanks for verifying. I'll give it a try tonight. I've seen this board has been pretty successful with the betas so I was hopeful it would be as easy as mavericks was.

No onboard sound is not good for me tho. You maybe able to find an onboard audio solution... google, etc... https://www.google.com/search?q=alc...57.6206j0j1&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8

Once I get home Ill install and look for working audio solution. I'm excited.

How is sleep and imessages working?

Edit: Does this work for audio http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/143813-alc889-yosemite-no-audio.html ?

Thanks for the help.

Booting from the USB stick (USB-HDD in BIOS) allowed me into the UI.

I could not access the installed Yosemite partition from the boot loader before, nor it did not have the cartoonish Yosemite icon.

I have similar MultiBeast settings, but I used the DSDT for my motherboard.

Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3H-B3
CPU Intel i7 2400k
Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 2048 MB
8GB RAM 1333MHz DDR3
500GB WD

similar setup (ati 5770 instead of nvidia) and sound works just fine for me guys. bit of fiddling around with preferences and ... it just works

I have my speakers connected to the green jack and all I had to do was select internal speakers.

does this help?

Great tutorial - managed to update my system (well, clean install) from 10.7.3 to 10.10 with only one hitch so far...

I use the ASUS EN210 SILENT/DI/512MD2 video card.

When I rebooted and attached the monitor to this card, about 1/3 through the startup gray screen with meter, the screen went black.

Removed the card and used on board video and it was fine - seemed there was some video switching going on at that point.

I normally use the card with HDMI but am currently running it over DVI.

Is there anything I need to do in MultiBeast for compatibility with the card?

Thanks!

I just saw that there is an option that is disabled by default. Changing volume doesn't make sounds by default now and that is how I tested if it was working.

It's working now! Probably was working all along, make sure Play feedback when volume is changed is enabled. It is disabled by default.

Hi Elite2K,

Thank you for the instruction. I was able to setup Yosemite on for my system (clean install). I have similar setup as yours except for the video card (Saphire HD6870 1GB). The only issue have now is the iMessage. With Maverick, I have to copy the fileNVRAM.dylib to /extra/Modules and then called Apple to unblock. But now, it's not working. I was reading from the forum that is still the issue for many but wondering if iMessage is working on your setup.
Thanks,
