unibeast stuck at spinny beach ball of death

not sure what's happening here, unibeast boots fine after switching the kernel. After the apple load bar completes and the mouse appears (after a minor graphical glitch) it becomes and never actually loads the installer

HP ProBook 4530s
core i3
1366x768 display

Any other 4x30s user having this issue?

What do you mean by "switching the kernel"?

what I mean is unibeast is configured for mavericks by default, looking for mach_kernel, so I removed that and it was able to find the Yosemite kernel. There's posts about it in the Unibeast 5 thread.

That's not "switching the kernel." That is simply a matter of removing the "Kernel" specification from /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist (because it is incorrect, and has always been unecessary).

I'm also experiencing this issue.

I've been following this guide exactly recently after I had some issues with my OS X Mavericks with Clover UEFI so I decided to try that

All went well until I tried to boot with Unibeast with Yosemite or basically step 4.
Once I booted into unibeast and selected to install Yosemite. The apple screen loads and the loading bar loads until maybe a third of the way and then I get some weird graphical glitch. After that, the screen appears to go back to normal but no apple logo or loading bar but shows a cursor. Sometimes it will show the or sometimes the black cursor. Either way, it appears the system isn't responding except you can move the mouse fine. I am doing this on my Probook 4530s and I made sure bios settings are good.

I tried a few different boot arguments but sadly, no effect. I'm just confused as to whats causing the system to stall.

Sadly I'm experiencing this issue as well. I have a gigabyte GA-Z97Z-UD7 TH motherboard, and I managed to get to the installer window the very first time I tried it, but I had windows 8 installed on my hard drive and it would not allow me to install mavericks. I wiped my drive and tried the UNIBEAST again and it's giving me this beach ball of death as well. Right now I'm going to try disconnecting my CD Drive. I made sure my BIOS was set correctly and made sure I had 1 stick of RAM as well for the process as said on the forum. Trying the power switch on my PSU as well leaving it off for 10 seconds see if anything changes.
