Running 10.9.5, 1080p display, pro book 4530s.

Everything seems to work fine, except the USB ports on the right side, near the numeric keypad. Anyone else seen this or have any suggestions? I have tried resetting the BIOS to defaults, re-running the installer (Clover edition), and fixing permissions on S/L/E. The USB ports on the left are working (not sure what speed). :banghead:

Any help appreciated.

Could be a USB3 problem. What version of GenericUSBXCHI.kext are you using? Use 'kextstat|grep -y generic' in Terminal.

You might try previous versions: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Generic-USB3
You should also determine what kind of ports are not working (USB3 or USB2).
Also, what BIOS version?

I downgraded genericUSBXHCI to 1.2.6d2 from the above link, the problem persists. I also fixed permissions and rebooted for good measure.

The USB2 and USB3 ports on the left work fine. Both USB2 ports on the right side do not.
Current bios is F.41, was planning to upgrade to F.50 tomorrow.

Perhaps it is a mecahnical issue? I don't recall breaking anthing when I replaced the LCD or leaving any connectors out.

I was thinking 1.2.7.

Mechanical issue should have already been tested via Windows or Linux before assuming it is some sort of hackintosh problem.
