Haven't seen this with my system running F8 BIOS. If it is sleeping correctly and not irregularly, take a look at what you might have connected/not connected when it sleeps and doesn't sleep. You will have to do a some diagnostic work.

I built a machine similar to yours with the following specs.

I tried this graphics card after the install but found I was actually happy enough with the on board Graphics so I remove it again.
Asus Nvidia GeForce GT 640 Graphics Card (2GB DDR3, PCI Express 3.0, VGA, 2x DVI-D, HDMI, Nvidia 3D Vision Ready)

I had some freezing Issues about a week after the build when using USB drives and also when using google chrome.

I bought a USB PCI card (orico) hoping it would help, but it did not.

I set he ram to 1333 to stop the glitches and crashes along with changing the profile to iMac.

Next I removed the Generic USBXHI.kext file from
System/Library/Extensions

Then I ran Kext Utility for some cleaning / Repairing of the kexts folder.

Next I repaired Disk Permissions and done a cold reboot.

Things went well for about 2 weeks but now it has stated crashing about every 10 minutes.

I do recognise that my ram is not on the tested list published by Gigabyte, but I am not convinced that that is really the problem having observed others replacing ram only to find that the problem persists.

I removed chrome and tried using just safari and firefox, but that does not seem to have helped.

Please advise of you have any ideas. Also, if Tony or Rehab man have any other suggestions I would be grateful.
 
I have a similar build with the freezing issue. Originally I used and i5 processor but just change to the i7-4770K hoping that would help. It didn't. Like several other people I am hoping to find some idea to fix it

Wildwillow, on a completely non-software related note, do you have your fans controlled by the mobo or are you using the fan controller?

Ideas. Firstly ensure that you're running the latest BIOS or at least F7. Other than the things you have tried I don't have any further suggestion for this issue, I can tell you that my system isn't freezing. I am using the onboard HD4600+GT640, I've enabled HDMI Audio for both graphics displays although I use Line out on the rear for 2.1. I have patched the AppleIntelFameBufferAzul.Kext. I'm using 2 SSDT's, one for HDMI Audio and one for power management. Everything on the list from Post#1 is the same.

I have the rear and two fronts connected to the controller on the case:thumbup:
 
hello teacher, I have a problem
I z87x-oc with the 4770k and 0 problems
but buy 4790k and log osx, apple screen with spinning wheel and stays there nothing more


can happen ??

incompatibility processor and motherbord with hackintosh?


I'm very frustrated, is my working tool and 4770k already sold it

Hey i was going to Build me a hackintosh, with that motherboard Z87X Oc, but waswondering about the USB Bug of the Chipset of C1. Which one has this Motherboard? The C2?
