I have a 5-series motherboard .

5series enables Nvidia HDMI audio.

Hi,

Followed the instructions on the first page, but I can't get sound working.

Used multibeast patched alc887 (tried both versions available) did the chameleon plist entries too.

Currently having sound using HDAenabler1.kext.

Main objective is to have sound over HDMI.

Hardware: Asus p8h77mle on 10.9.4, chimera 3.0.1.

for what i see my conector type indicates 00 04 00 00 and not 00 08 00 00
this may be an error but don't know how to fix it

Edit required:Hex editor (i.e., HexEdit, HexFiend)
AppleIntelFramebufferCapri.kext/Contents/MacOS/AppleIntelFramebufferCapri binary

Find: 03 00 66 01 01

port 0x6 DP>HDMI
Find:
03 04 00 00 00 04 00 00 81 00 00 00
Replace:
03 04 00 00 00 08 00 00 06 00 00 00

Save, install, restart.

I did the frame buffer edit and install that kext

it worked! i have to set audio output to TV (shows model name)

i don't know if it is necessary to reinstall edited ****SNBgraphics.kext?
