Yeah, that motherboard is awesome. I'm using a very similar setup, though with a discrete graphics card (GTX 660) and it was very painless (it's Flonne in my signature; this box replaced Etna, which is now running Windows 7 for my mother-in-law). Once I had it up and running with Multibeast I decided to see if I could follow the Clover guide. Ultimately, I built a 1TB HDD + 256GB SSD Fusion drive and have a 100% native /S/L/E folder, with just the Realtek audio and ethernet kexts along with FakeSMC on the EFI system partitions of the two drives. Toleda recently redid the ALC Clover stuff to be even more foolproof than before, so it's even easier to set up. Bring on Yosemite's official release - this Haswell box is ready for it.

Sounds good, want same board.
Is there any special Ram needed?

Some reported on another motherboard the BIOS affecting compatibility with some USB flash under certain circumstances. I forget where. After reading that though, i updated my mobo and the problem I was having with a certain flash drive went away. I use a different mobo, but since it's the same manufacturer, this problem may be related...

...(DSDT Free and Mostly defaults selections except audio and lan kexts)...

Can you please tell me exactly which audio and lan kexts you selected?

(I'm trying to install but I have no sound whatsoever in Mac OS X 10.9.5, and I can only boot with unibeast, without it I get BOOT0: error but that I guess is because of my 2TB Western Digital Green with 4k sectors... What I would really love is to have sound, and lan of course)

Thanks in advance

Hi I am also having a tough time getting my audio set up correctly with this motherboard. This is my 5th hackintosh i've made and it always seems to be the part i have the hard time with.

Any help / precise instruction how to do it would be awesome. I have tried using both mavericks and yosemite versions of multibeast and everything seems good except for sound. I tried just the alc892 option in multibeast, and the alc892 option + the intel 9 series motherboard support and the optional hd3000/HD4000 HDMI Audio.

Is it possible to get it set up correctly with just multibeast or does it require further hacking?

Thanks a million for any help

Don't select 9 series support, you have an 8 series board. I just installed Yosemite on the exact board you are using. I used MultiBeast, had no problems! Make sure you have select kext-dev-mode=1 and restart before installing the audio driver in MultiBeast.

Thanks a million for this advice!! I will give it a try when i have some time. Right now back port works ok if i don't let it go to sleep.
I could swear i clicked on a 9 series motherboard link from the tony mac recommended list.

Is there anything else special i have to do related to sleep? thanks! Really really appreciate it!

Hi all...

Can anybody install yosemite on this configuration? I have panics screens on boot...

Thanks all
