How to Install OS X Mavericks using Clover

Hi I just can't seem to get Clover to work and am obviously doing something wrong. After i boot off the USB I don't get a KP but the following errors

USBF: 0.587 EHCI controller unable to take control from BIOS
USBF: 0.587 AppleUSBEHCI ::unable to take ownership : 0xe00002be
USBF: 0.587 AppleUSBEHCI ::UIMInitialize - Error occurred (0xe00002be)

USBF: 0.593 AppleUSBEHCI ::unable to take ownership : 0xe00002be
USBF: 0.594 AppleUSBEHCI ::UIMInitialize - Error occurred (0xe00002be)

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Configuration:

GA-B85M-D3H
Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz
8 GB RAM
nVidia Quadro Fx 1800 512MB

I have tried multiple iterations and all of them get stuck at:

*** [IOBlueToothHCIcontroller][ProtectectedBlutetoothHCI controller TransportShowsUp] -- connect to the tansport succesfully

Please refer to the screen shot.

I have tried Lion, Leopard, Mountain Lion and Maverick, all of them yield the same error message.

Boot flag options tried
-f -v PCIRootUID=1 and 0 UseKernelCache=No & Yes GraphicsEnabler=Yeas and No npci=0x2000

no luck.

Somehow manged to install with boot flag -x.

But can't boot to the OS X, I am greeted with above error.

Any help is appreciated.

Solutions tried

Boot with -s. When you see the prompt "root:":

Type: mount -uw /
Type: cd /System/Library/Extensions
Type: mkdir intel_back
Type: mv AppleIntelHD* AppleIntelF* intel_back/
Type: touch ../Extensions

Reboot and use -v flag.

Also tried:
Clover and Chamaleon bootloader.

No luck with he above soliutions.

Any help is appreciated.

Hmm.

Tony, have you run out of solutions?

I have Clover working from the Appstore 10.9 install and successfully upgraded to 10.9.4.

GA-Z87N-Wifi

Intel i7-4771

Crucial Ballistix Sport (8GBx2)

(2) Samsung 840 EVO 250GB

(2) Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB

MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB

Followed the install guide here for UEFI Boot Mode and chose the standard config.plist.

I did have issues with connecting to the Appstore but they were resolved by deleting the NetworkInterfaces.plist and restarting.

I haven’t tested the sound yet and my Time Machine backups keep failing to my NAS. I’ll need to work on those in the coming days.

Anyone else have issues with Time Machine and Clover boot?

Other than that everything seems to be working rather well.

Also used this guide <http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=2014030311173257> to create a fusion drive from one SSD and HDD.

I’ll save the other 2 for a Windows installation once the bugs are sorted out with OS X.

Thanks for the wonderful guides!

Hi Edward

I've recently upgraded the iTunes on my clover system. It's knocked out the audio, and I'm unsure how to progress, as I'm a real newbie here I don't know if/how I should install MultiBeast or how to input kexts. Any help would be magic.

Dave

Well finally I have my setup configure with clover and Mavericks 10.9.4. My first try didn't go well because no Audio @ the end of the setup, frustration came along, star searching for answer and questions, googling nothing till watching a Utube video an idea came along and I redid the USB installation USB and with it after following this guide, The Clover guide @ tonymac86, I decide to download the multi beast file ones done show package contents and search for the codec of my audio which is ALC898 run the setup reboot and audio working, thats all I did and has to be that cause I went to about this mac, more info, system report, installation and their is my codec driver install. After Mavericks installation didn't have audio and I didn't install any kexts, all I did was to extract driver of my audio codec from multi beast run installation and thats it. good luck to anyone running into the same case that I did.

Thanks for all the information guys.
Im a newb at this
trying to Install mavericks using Clover, but the install osx wont show at the clover boot screen. when it goes to load the clover screen, its all black. I have to hit any key to bring up clover, only has option for shell. seems to be lacking whatever was on efi partition. tried restarting from scratch countless times. even updated my mac to mavericks from Lion. had similar issue with unibeast not having maverick as a choice, just the shell screen there as well.
followed all methods posted here to a t, as well as others on this site and abroad using the uefi mobo. tried two different usbs,
the build is a ASUS HERO VII with a corsair (2x8) memory. only one stick of ram in right now. was told to only use one
1 SSD samsung 250
I tried diving into the shell to see if I could manually activate the install but seems like I shouldn't have to and I dont want to keep wasting time not knowing what Im doing. any help would be appreciated. It seems like it might be the efi getting lost somewhere.
thanks for any help. Feel like I might stroke soon.
:beachball:

switched back to unibeast. this is where it freezes.

Hi all

I've got (bought) a Clover system that has just had the audio knocked out in an iTunes update. I tried to use Multibeast to update the ALC892 driver and I get this message

There is no '/Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist' file on the target volume. Either place one there or select 'Customize > Basic Boot Options' to continue.

In that folder there I found a symbios.plist that refers to a Macmini6,2 setup.

Any help please

Thanks
dave

If I'm not mistaking I didn't mention anywhere in my experience to use multi beast to install any driver. " I said to extract ur codec driver from multi beast and run the installer ". In other word from a clean desktop download multi beast I don't remember now how I did to show the package content of multi beast not to run multi beast setup try to find out the package content of the multi beast icon ones you see the new folder with all subfolder try to look for the one where you codec driver is copy that icon to your desktop close everything and rum that installer along from the desktop, good luck and see if it works.

Update from my advice, download mavericks multi beast from this web site copy or move the folder to "Applications folder" then from there open the folder where multi beast is right click the multi beast icon then "show package content shows" and click that, click on the folder contents then click on the folder resources then the #12 icon should be ur codec audio copy it to the desktop run the setup and good luck to see if it works let me know, thats what I did with mine and its working.

I think I have read somewhere that the latest Multibeast Audio driver wont work together with Clover anymore?
