thanks rehabman, then my other solution is a converter vga with usb Compatible mavericks

does not depend on the HD4000, right?

Use active HDMI->VGA adapter.

I have a Probook 4540s with a 1080p screen and dual link cable. However I don't like the look of my 4540s so I decided to upgrade to a i5 6570b. I will be doing this today, and I'll give some updates about the full hd screen.

Also am I wrong or is there no wifi whitelist on the 6570b?

Okay, so here's where I am right now:

I installed my atheros osx compatible (I think it's the 9285) wifi pci card in my new 6570b from my old ML 4540s. The wifi card works in windows, so it will work on OS X as well I think. After that I removed my 1080p screen from my 4540s and reinstalled the stock screen and single link cable. My 4540s is now fully working again on windows and ready to be put on ebay or somewhere else.

Then came the difficult part. I booted my 6570b with my ML SSD from my 4540s and it booted into chameleon. However the dsdt is set up to work on a 1080p screen so no screen after booting into OS X. So I began to strip down my 6570b to install the 1080p screen I have.

My 6570b has a 1366x768 screen and I found that they ship these models with the single link cable, since the 1080p screen needs a dual link cable there is no point in installing the 1080p screen now.

So i began to strip down more of the 6570b to replace the single link cable with the dual link cable i have ordered for my 4540s. The connector on the motherboard is different than my dual link cable so I have to order the 6570b dual link cable.

I am looking for a product number for this cable, but no luck yet. Any help finding the right cable is very much appreciated!

Is there a 17" version of your laptop with 1600x900 screen (or even a 15" version with 1600x900?). If so, that's where to look for the right cable. In the past, people with such laptop have disassembled it just go get the part#.

Note: In any case, you'll need to re-patch DSDT and probably re-run the ProBook Installer after replacing various kexts (AppleHDA for sure) with vanilla.

Thanks, yes I found the part no: 646969-001. This is the HD version. 646968-001 is the SD version that I have now.

The cable will be here in less than 3 days. I'll give an update when finished. I was planning to delete my dsdt boot into osx with GraphicsEnabler=NO and re-run the probook installer with 6570b dsdt settings and hd screen settings.

Do I need to delete my mini ssdt that I needed for installing my 1080p screen on the 4540s??

MiniSSDT does nothing for all 7-series ProBook/EliteBook (including 4540s).

So did you manage upgrading the LCD?
