ALC 898 No Audio After Sleep 10.9.3

Hi all,

So whenever my computer falls asleep, I lose the audio. When I restart it, it's back. My motherboard is a gigabyte Z87X-UD5H, which means I use the ALC898 driver. It's getting annoying that my computer falls asleep and wakes up with no audio. Can somebody please help?

Use Multibeast 6.1.0 to install your audio. That will probably fix it.

I have this happening as well with a z87x-ud5h, so how do you go about just loading one KEXT file from Multibeast. I noticed that using multibeast with no dsdt, loads a bunch of other things.

Thanks for the heads up, loading the ALC898 from Multibeast 6.1 solved the problem. I was able just to select this KEXT only, so no more issues.

I was able to solve the no audio after sleep with Yosemite 10.10.1 by using the Multibeast 6.1.0 ALC898 no dsdt.

This is the only method that has worked for this specific issue. Whatever has changed in later versions of Multibeast has lost this capability.

Thanks for the tip — reinstalling audio from MultiBeast 6.1.0 worked for me as well. Sleeps and wakes up without problem!
