i think i saw a youtube video regarding the install of the yosemite system. it recommended that you should first disable it in bios, install the driver with multibeast, and then go back into bios to enable it.
i assume you could just do that after as well, just run multibeast after disabling the ethernet adapter and then go back and reenable. let me know how that goes=) im not sure, but i think also the Z97X-D3H has the same need for a workaround. not sure since i dont use the ethernet ports much
I installed AppleIntelE1000e v3.0.4.1a by MultiBeast 6.3.0 on 10.9.3 and the i218-v network controller worked on my asus z97-a.
If you still not success, you can try to use kext wizard to repair & rebuild.
