hello all!
i am trying to build a new mac, with specs
i7, 16gb, and audio support.
i dont know a thing about computers, and am currently using a dell laptop.
i would like a mac to use logic, garageband and protools since i am a singer songwriter.
any help as to what components i should buy would be much appreciated.
sounds a bit silly i know, but i am no computer pro.

thanking you all in advance

p.s. this website is amazing.

Suggest you start with reading the threads in Music - http://www.tonymacx86.com/music/

Look at Boomer's builds - he has linked the builds in his sig to the User Builds / Golden Builds forums, so just click on one you might be interested in.

thank you very much for the reply! however the threads in the section you mentioned only cater to DAW problems and latency issues, something that i know how to handle. the only problem is i dont know anything about drivers and compatibility issues with diff motherboards and different builds
a reply would be much appreciated sir.
thank you once again!!

The idea was for you to look at the sigs and profiles or the DAW users. Many of them have linked their sigs to their builds descriptions in the User Builds / Golden Builds forums so you can go look at the hardware they used. I know BoomR has done this for his builds.
