I have a problem with imessagge and facetime works perfectly even if (it's very strange) when I change my apple id password, sometimes stops working and the only way to reciprocate password is there a way to fix this?

i boot with Chameleon

This is my last resort, I was going to try and fix this iMessage problem by myself but sadly I just can't! I've tried everything... I even tried the SId Bug fix even though I don't think my BIOS has a bug in the code. First let me give you some background knowledge of my build:

Operating System: 10.9.3
Chimera Version: 3.0.1
FileNVRAM Version: 1.1.3
Motherboard: Gigabyte H61M-DS2 rev2.1 BIOS version F9
CPU:
Intel Core i3-2100
Graphics Card: ASUS NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 2GB

So here's my problem that just doesn't seem to get resolved with any of the fixes listed on this thread(I've attached some photos to make the explaining just a tad bit easier)

So after applying all the fixes I open iMessage and then go to sign in as normal with my apple id...

1.png

So far it seems like its going to work right? WRONG! I click on done and then this comes up...

2.png

Notice how when I type the apple id I'm trying to message it turns red(I'm using a dummy email since I know its not going to work :p) and also in the message box it says "inactive"

Anyways ones I hit send message this pops up...

3.png

It says I'm signed out, but wait just a minute ago everything seemed working correctly what happened? So I then I click on the "Sign In" button...

Once I retype my apple id password into the password box I get this message...

4.png

I really don't think my apple id is the problem though because I've tried it with a new VERIFIED apple id and its the same story

Anyways I found this cool little trick that lets me skip this message if I change the email address with one of my alternative emails(either be @me.com or @icloud.com) it seems to work it sometimes displays that same message in the above picture over and over and over like 5-10 times but then this happens...

5.png

It signed me in! but the excitement only last a short time :( after like 5-10 seconds of being signed in it signs me back out :( and we're back to where we started

So thats my problem at the moment, other than that little problem my hackintosh works perfectly so if anyone on here can please help me that would be incredibly amazing!

Thanks for your feedback and the extensive description of your issues ..... sorry to read that iMessage is still not working for you ...

I cant think what could be causing your issues, especially if you have tried everything in the guide more than once.

I would try a fresh install on another drive if you have one, I have seen this a few times where no matter what is done iMessage refuses to work but it does on a clean install. Be sure to make sure your set your system definition identifier correctly and your S/N and UUID is unique and correct as per the instructions in the guide (check registry and FileNVRAM UUID's). Do not connect to any Apple services until everything is setup and working correctly (skip automated Internet/AppleID setup on first run). Once your happy that all seems ok, set up iCloud first via system prefs, check that the iCloud apps are working ok (notes, reminders .. etc), then connect to the Appstore and iTunes.

If all of those work run iMessage and try again ...

I assume that the iMessage contacts you are using are valid mac or iPhone addresses ...

Do you own any Apple products (iPad, iPhone ... etc), I'm not sure if its the case but I have read a few posts from users who don't own an Apple internet connected product that they can not get iMessage to work ?, this may be a recent development and I'd like to confirm this one way another as if its is the case it should be in the guide ....

Good luck
Let me know how you get on...

Cheers
Jay

@JayMonkey

Okay so I just got home from school and I tried exactly what you said clean install set everything up made sure everything was in order before connecting to any of apples services, and the damn thing still didn't work! :banghead: lol its getting quite annoying to be honest :p

iCloud and the iCloud apps: Confirmed working
Apple Appstore: Confirmed working
iTunes: Confirmed working
iMessage: NOT working

I forgot to mention I do have another apple device I have an iPhone 4s

:(

I am at the exact same point, with the exact same symptoms. I do however have different hardware. For me iMessage was working great until I upgraded my hard drive to a Samsung 840 EVO.

I had to install the boot loader using the boot0md option using Chameleon Wizard with a Chimera 3 folder. Boots fine, runs fine, etc. Just the red contacts in iMessage symptom. Not sure if it's coincidence, the SSD, or the boot loader.

Worked perfect for me, I even got messages about a new device being added to my account phone number and email on all my IDevices saying that a Mac Pro had been added to my account.

Also, if you are using a USB drive to boot the bootloader. I like to do this because I want Windows to load automatically without intervention on my part and choose to load Mac if desired.

1. Install Chameleon to your MacOSX hard drive first
2. Format and install Chameleon again, this time install to your USB drive
3. Go to your MacOSX hard drive copy the /Extra folder (the actual "Extra" folder) and paste it to the root of the USB
4. Follow the rest of this tutorial and it will work.
5. Finally, either set your computer to boot from the USB or use the Boot select menu to manually choose. My ASUS board is F8 for boot select.

It really does suck man... Please if you find a fix post it on here

Hey Nice Guide!!!
Everything worked for me.I have update my boot loader from Chameleon 2.2.1 to the leatest Chimera 3.0.1 !
And than I use the FileNVRAM version 1.1.3.Than it create a worked nvram.xxx...plist
But I had call the support, to authenticated my computer...

Hi,

I'm on 10.9.3 / newest Chimera & FileNVRAM and cannot sign into iMessage too :(
I've done everything described in the post: generated new systemuuid for the smbios, deleted old nvram.plist, generated a "valid" serial with Chameleon Wizard (checked the guarantee status) and so on. The units of the filenvram.plist are exactly the same as in the smbios.plist but I still get the message that I have to contact Apple. Also did the whole procedure before creating a new Apple-ID. But I still get this error message. :(
I'm using an Asus X57 Laptop with MacbookPro9,2 System Defs.
