Laptop Compatibility

Reading through the post i understand that Haswell supports osx starting with 10.8.5. But in order to install higher OSX it is necessary to install 10.6.3? How do i do it if older version are not compatible. Can i directly install to 10.8.5?

Please help

I would recommend Mavericks. You can install 10.9.3 directly. You should be familiar with the process described here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/374-unibeast-install-os-x-mavericks-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html

I am trying to download the Mavericks. I am confused on which one to download. 10.9, 10.9.1, 10.9.2 0r 10.9.3. There are only updates on 10.9.3 and 10.9.2...

Since i don't have mac. i am trying from my windows laptop. is there any alternative?

I don't understand your question. The only one available is 10.9.3.
 
The guide says that i have to download the 10.9.3 from the app store but since i don't own a mac, i am trying to download from my windows. have been looking on the web but all i can find is 10.9.3 updates only . any help please.

They aRe looking at the combo updates at the apple website and @op these will not work you will need a Mac or hackintosh to download mavericks through the Mac App Store if you don't have access to a Mac the. You need to buy the snow leopard retail DVD from apple and start from there
 
Reading the post #1, i came to know that my laptop is not compatible with 10.6.
