Menu Bar Freeze on installation

The problem is that I Can't select Hard Drive to install because I can't access Disk Utility.

The whole top menu bar seems to be frozen, nothing works except Language in the top right.

Please list the details of your hardware then update your profile to contain the hardware and in the system section please place your specific motherboard in this section not your operating system this is so it shows up in every post also please tell us which installation method you have chosen to install upon

I only used GraphicsEnabler=Yes flag. All hard drives are removed from pc except 1 SSD 180Gb in which I would like to install Maverick 1.9.3 .

MotherBoard: Asus p5q se plus
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8400 2.66GHz

OK, replace Windows 8.1 in your profile with the Asus board model

Thanks for giving me some of the info but please tell me if you are using a dedicated graphics card or not on my Asus P5LP-LE with a nvidia graphics card I needed to use -x -v GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=1 npci=0x2000 to reach the installer your baord is probably similar since they both have LGA775
