HD4600+/HD4000/HD3000 Framebuffer Edits

Hi toleda,

I had a issue on patching the graphics_intel_hd5 k-azul...command. It state that "no such file/directory". My System/Extra/Extensions do not have any framebuffer.kext, any idea where can I find or create a frame buffer kext? Thx and sorry for this stupid question as I'm new to hackintosh :)

My ud4h with hd4600 has:
0x6 - HDMI framebuffer@1
0x5 - DVI framebuffer @0
0x0 - ? framebuffer @2

no 0x7 available in IOJones

Same thing for me and my UD5H + HD4600. Did you ever figure this out?

Well I just made the assumption that DP was really 0x7 even though it was showing as 0x0 in IOJones and it worked!

Thanks a bunch, all three monitors are up and running.

No, the terminal commands do not work with 10.8.5. Manual framebuffer edits (i.e. HexEdit) can be made to 10.8.5 Azul.

Hello Toleda

I was following your guide for activate the HDMI Audio on Mavericks for the HD4600 here http://www.tonymacx86.com/hdmi-audio/112469-mavericks-hdmi-audio-applehda-guide.html and reading the requirements on the point 2.1 I need edit the Framebuffer but I found several troubles

I found solutions to those troubles but I don't know if I did the things correctly

First this is my rig

CPU: i5 4440
Motherboard: Asus H81M-A
BIOS version: 1001 (last version)
Video onboard: HD4600
ig-plartform-id: 03 00 22 0d

Audio Codec: Realtek ALC887
ID Model: iMac 14,2
Bootloader: Clover (last version)
OS: Mavericks 10.9.2
SSDT: Yes
DSDT: No

Troubles

1 - I can not work on the AppleIntelFramebufferAzul.kext for OS X 10.9.2 because using the output HDMI keeps the machine in a reboot eternal
Solution: swap to AppleIntelFramebufferAzul.kext from OS X 10.9.1

2 - Editing the framebuffer is another trouble because the device IGPU or GFX0 not exists
Solution: I did a search on the IORegistryExplorer_v2.1 using the word Display then I could find the paths for Match motherboard connector to framebuffer connector with these results

Framebuffer@0 - port 0x5 - D-Sub (I considered D-Sub like ND)
Framebuffer@1 - port 0x6 - DVI-D
Framebuffer@2 - port 0x7 - HDMI

For me situation I used graphics_intel_hd5k-azul-a-90_patch.command, appearlly all was ok but you have the final word

Can I continue for enable the HDMI audio or needs do the things again?

My files to continuation

Greetings

Not familiar with your 10.9.2 framebuffer problem.
From the linked thread, Post #1, see Mavericks HDMI Audio/2. Clover HDMI audio
