Sleep/wake for HP ENVY Haswell...Mavericks.

I've read through a few of the threads on how to get sleep/wake to work but I'm afraid to experiment at this point because everything else is working well and I don't want to F it up. Anyway, my laptop won't come back to life if I close the lid - or if I let it go to sleep. Not sure if I need to do DSDT edits, additional Kexts, or cut the head off a live rooster. But if anyone might be able to direct me for my specific setup I would be greatly indebted. Thanks, -I

DSDT patches are probably the answer, but it could be something else. Critical for sleep is that power management is implemented correctly...
