@MaDxCrEaM,

Thanks for the confirmation, if thats the case then we can eliminate that theory.

What is the exact error are you getting ?

If its the second message as in post #238 have you tried calling Apple customer support ?, like carpentryplus25 & redzacke suggest ?

Cheers
Jay

I'm getting "Recipient is not registered iMessage User" on all my contacts. I can sign in fine, app store works. I've changed password, re-added my credit card with no luck. Are you suggesting to call apple on this? I have no other error messages displayed. Before this happening like 5 days ago everything was working fine. iMessage on my iPhone is working fine.

If it's on the Apple's side, why do some hackintosh users have that issue and others don't?

I'll let you figure out the answer to that question ;) ....

I still think - It's hardware characteristic, especially Ethernet device and kext.
I'm not so sure, I don't think it is related to Ethernet, the only known issue with that is described in Step 2 of the guide (BCD Name). I have several Hackingtosh systems and all have different Ethernet NIC's - (IE non Apple NICs, using 3rd Party kexts) and I don't have any issues.

All my desktop systems are built around Gigabyte motherboards and my two laptop systems are built on a Sony Vaio SE2 and HP Probook and both are working ok using WiFi and Ethernet.

We need more feedback before we can be sure what the cause is.

Cheers

Not sure with that error, I was referring to the two guys who got the message :-

"Your Apple ID "[My Mail ID]" can't be used to set up iMessage at this time .....

The error your getting is the one that is worrying me the most as its seems to have started just a few days ago and has effected several users suggesting Apple have pushed out some sort of security update on their servers. I take it that when you get the error it does not ask you to call Apple Support ?

Could you please post a screen grab of error.

Cheers

Thanks for information and help. Basically I get no error. All contacts show up Red Color if I open a chat with them. If I right click on them it shows the 1111111111 is not registered with iMessage.

Here are the issue's screenshots.
The mail address used in this test has been working with iMessage until a few days ago. I mean verified and all.
No iphone cell numbers nor verified Apple ids work anymore except my own number (used to log into iMessage here.

Yep, this is also the error message I get. I have iPhone, iPad and Macbook Pro all signed in with the same Apple ID. All devices work except my own build.

Jaymonkey - I also have a valid Apple Device that is logging in fine into iMessage and until the thing went wrong all messages that appeared on my MBP appeared on my Hack and vice versa. So since some people are having the problem and others aren't I also assume its an ethernet driver issue ?
I am using a GA-Z77X-UP5-TH motherboard and used the FileNVRAM.dylib fix to get it working a couple of months ago.

Thats what I was suggesting, as long as you have at least one Apple device associated to the Apple ID then it looks like iMessage can be made to work (as long as you apply the steps in the guide).

I think this recent change at Apple's end is causing two types of issues:-

In this case I think the message is generated if no genuine Apple device is associated either with your Apple ID or the Contact your trying to send to ?

In this instance as redzacke suggests a call to Apple customer support seems to resove the issue, as long as you own at least one Apple Device (some sort of account status change/update made by customer support) ?

I'm really just trying to clarify things at the moment, so if you can prove that either of the above cases are true (or false) please give some feedback.

Cheers

I´m also on a GA-Z77X-UP5-TH with an Apple Airport Extreme Wifi card and i did a fresh install and did not install any ethernet kext (driver) but it´s still not working.
I can log on to Appstore and iCloud but not iMessage :problem:
So i don´t think it has to do with ethernet.
I think that what´s going on is Apples reaction to "piracy" and we´ll se more of that in the future as the hackingtosh community is growing fast and they se it as a thread to their business.
And BTY i have an iPhone and iMessage is working on that.

Exact same motherboard, and fix applied. iMessage on my iPhone and iPad work with no problems

I suggest to take a look on logs
I have started Messages and try to log in. Here what I got:
