The fan is an Everflow BB7515BU and I saw that it was about 12 cfm from one of the Chinese suppliers. I couldn't find a 75x75x15mm blower that moved more cfm or was quieter but maybe I wasn't looking in the right places. The latest BIOS allows for fan control but I haven't tried it yet because my new one comes on Monday. It would be great if a 25mm fan would fit in the front vent but I will try to figure out what size, if any, will fit once I get mine back.

What is the latest BIOS version?

I installed F4 and can choose a performance fan profile, but cannot manually control the fan.

I found this fan that moves 15 cfm but it is an 80mm and I'm not sure if it would be possible to attach a wider blower to the heat sink. The latest BIOS version is F4 and I thought that you could customize it since it said fan feature curve but I guess not. For those of you that have had it apart, is it attached by those two screws or some other method?

Two screws into the heatsink and a few sticky pads.

I just got my replacement Brix this morning and it also idles at 65-70 degrees and the fan stays around 1120 rpm. To me, it is ridiculous that the BIOS is happy with keeping the fan idle at those temperatures. I am thinking about adding this beast in place of the current blower. I think that I would use the sticky pads to keep it on top of the heatsink... unless the screws that go through the fan hold the heatsink to something and are necessary. My thought is that it should really help since it moves almost double the air and is only 5mm bigger. Do you guys think that this blower would work? I'm not sure when I will have time to take mine apart and measure but it seems like a 5mm difference should still fit based on the pictures that I have seen.

I don't think the fan screws are essential for the heatsink.

Please let us know how the cooling mod goes?

I wanted to purchase a backup psu for this box since I always seem to break them, but I can't find this FSB model anywhere...

does anyone know of something comparable with the same size plug?

Any Solution regarding this issue? I have the same error on a Asus H87I Plus.
