I have successfully installed OS X 10.8.4 on my Lenovo H430-2558-1ZU on a spare 320GB hard drive with UniBeast. The specs are as follows:

3.30GHz Intel Core i3-2120
4GB RAM
320GB hard drive

The i3-2120 has Intel HD Graphics 2000 built it, which from what I read is not supported on OS X. I had to install these Kexts to get the system to boot. Even with these Kexts, I only get 1024x768 (my monitor is 1400x900) from the built in HDMI output. What are the best possible kexts I can use to get at least the native resolution of my monitor with these graphics.

There is no best kext for HD2000 - it is totally unsupported AFAIK.

What kexts are you using?

I have the same problem

But I'm in high Sierra. When I go to about this Mac, and go to overview and scroll down it displays Intel HD graphics 2000 7 mb. I have the same processor that he does.

Upgrade to an i3-2105 or i3-2125 and you'll have HD3000 which is supported in High Sierra. Should be easy to find one online. Ebay always has them. At under $15 to upgrade, it costs less than buying a GT 710 for $40.

Thank you. I just posted another forum about which one to upgrade to becuase of it not being supported. I am on a low budget so it helps a lot. I am actually building from an hp back in 2010-11. Where could I find out if it is compatible with my HP board?

Thanks

The 2010 HP was the 8100 model. There are no integrated Intel graphics on those CPUs that will work. Requires a separate graphics card. First gen Intel HD graphics (ironlake) were not used by Apple. Tell me exactly which HP you've got.
