The 660 Ti Thread: Questions and Answers Here!

Hi all,

for what it is worth, I have a standard 660ti EVGA model, 2GB. It works fine with most everything in my build, including FCP X. There are some oddities such as a fuzzy screen appearing before logging in at startup, but otherwise fine, is CUDA recognized by Adobe software and is a decent performer. Kind of wish I had gone for a 680 instead but there ya go.

I am running Mountain Lion btw, Mavericks is just ugly. =]

Has anyone gotten CUDA to function with the 660 Ti in Mavericks 10.9.2 or 10.9.1?

Not tried, but would be good to hear if so for when I try upgrading to Mavericks.

I am getting this amazing checkerboard crash on a consistent basis with my Hackintosh machine. See attached image. Most often it occurs when dealing with images with in Adobe Premier. However it has occurred at other times, like in the attached example during rendering.

Machine Specs:
Processor: 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2048 MB
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP4-TH
I am also using a Dual DVI 2k monitor (if that matters)

I have seen some other people post in this tread with similar issues, but I couldn't find a clear answer, many people seem to eventually give up and change some hardware and it goes away.

Any help is much appreciated.
