Like I said, this is why I only buy ATI reference cards or at leats one that owuld be as close as possible to what Apple uses. In my case I went for the HD7950 instead of the HD7970 as Sapphire makes an identicale card to mine for the real Macs so its picked up automatically by OSX correctly.

Really because on mine using usb3 ports freezes the system

Plugging external hard drives into the usb 2 ports freezes the system

Im seeing no clues or info any where about what could be causing this

Exact same mother board

Did you install the universal USB3 kext from multibeast? If so remove it.

Updated to 10.9.2.

Monitor goes black after the Apple logo on bootup.

Deleting 'IntelAzulFB=10' from org.chameleon.Boot.plist enabled me to use my system now, but the integrated graphics are no longer recognized and I'm getting bad screen flicker in Safari, etc.

Scouring around for a solution.

10.9.2 success update from Appstore !!
Works fine on GT 630 VIDIA Getforce !! I reinstalled audio drivers for realtek ALC888

Ok after stripping it all back I have narrowed things down to a problem with USB3

Everything runs fine until you try and run anything through a usb3 port

Then the system freezes shortly after plugin into a usb3 port does it on both
usb2 and usb3 devices arggh!

Is any one having issues with usb 3 on the Gigabyte Z87M-D3H boards?

I have the Z87MX-D3H and the USB 3.0 functions fine, at least with USB2.0 stuff (I have no USB 3.0 devices to try). I can't recall if I loaded the "USB3.0 Universal" driver in Multibeast.

I did it with combo download. Didn't need any audio drivers update as I use VoodooHDA. Only needs to enable Trim after reboot

No problem with the update. I use the update from the Apple Store. The only thin I did was put in my audio
