Wow! This is great- thanks to the great netkas, Rominator and all the fellas over there! :headbang:

So I guess NVIDIA will publicly release these when 10.9.2 is released. Here's the original post: http://forum.netkas.org/index.php/topic,8367.0.html

For any information on using the NVIDIA Web Drivers, please read this post:

sorry for my bad english:
Could you help me with this wild unknown sea? If i install nvidia drivers, have i loose cuda function? When i have apple drivers with cuda, have i opencl? Other way of question, what way is better for me if i can my photoshop - imovie - final cut working better (did photoshop need cuda or opencl?)

Where i can find which app use which library (cuda or opencl)

I have two questions

1) If I have a GTX 780 Ti, will I be able to sleep or not with these drivers?

2) Do I still need to set

nvda_drv=1

after the drivers are successfully installed?

From what I understand I need to

a) nv_disable = 1
b) install Nvidia drivers hacked
c) reboot, select Nvidia drivers (I assume I also need to add nvda_drv=1)
d) reboot, with Nvidia drivers

Thanks!

I was very frustrated with 10.8.5 not working with my shiny new GTX 780.

I upgraded to 10.9 and after a hard fight I got it working with the linked web drivers.

Only thing that isn't working is CUDA. I see some mentions of 'hacking' cuda back in based off another forum post, but I can't seem to find that and more importantly, I don't know how to do it.

Can someone explain how to, or if it's feasible, to add CUDA back in to my 780 on 10.9?

Further information: I was trying to render out 4K RAW to Prores 1080p and it was going to take 7 or 8 hours to transcode on Redcine X in 10.8.5. I upgraded and now it only took 1.5 hours. Fantastic change! BUT I still don't have CUDA running for apps like premiere and that final step would be a great help.

Thank you to everyone in the thread for all the information so far.

  1. boot into Mavericks using nv_disable=1
  2. download and install the drivers and reboot
  3. boot Mavericks using nv_disable=1
  4. select nVidia drivers from nav bar (nvidia logo) drop down menu

that's it... reboot to test if you want.

I installed the web drivers using these instructions but I'm still getting poor performance in Cinebench (I've already modified AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext). I'm on a GA-Z77-DS3H, i5-2500K, and a Gigabyte GTX 770OC GPU (which I believe is a kepler GPU).

When I select the web driver from the drop down menu, I get this:
Screen Shot 2014-02-10 at 1.55.09 AM.png
It still says it's going to start up with the OS X Default Graphics Driver no matter what I click. Same thing with doing it through the preference pane.

Anybody have any ideas?

Would I be able to sleep?

I tested a GTX 780 Ti a few weeks ago and I was unable to sleep with nv_disable=1

The screen wouldn't go blank.

Could you please confirm if I would be able to sleep?

Thanks so much for your support.

Would the new drivers fix the problem I'm having with my GT 520 showing only one monitor resolution?

The new drivers fixed the resolution problem on my install.
