Thanks Tino2. but I still have issue with my second VGA monitor, does no seems to work.

any idea?

John

Well done on the first item sorted out. For the second you need to be aware that VGA has not been supported for years in OS X.
You can try an adaptor or add a suitable GPU - there is no guarantee it will work though.

One Issue is driving me nuts, my wake from sleep mode just works 4 times out of 5. Otherwise the system freezes and reboot is necessary. Is it a hardware failure? I rebuilt the whole system from scratch so everything is compatible, did memcheck ....

Someone else same wake from sleep issues?

BTW: The best fix for the intel Graphics is a patched dsdt with maciasl.... it runs then native :)

I hate to complain but I think it's a stretch calling this a golden build. I'm trying to solve, 10 seconds of white snow every time I boot, cant sleep properly, cant let monitor shut off or have to hard reset, no hdmi audio without a "fix" that just overwhelms my eyes and I can't figure out. Sorry for negativity, just frustrated.

Did you bother to read the entire thread see post #54

I did find that solution but the white snow is just a minor annoyance whereas lack of HDMI audio make OS X unusable for me. Thanks for posting the link tho...

Hey, in advance use this dsdt from a usb stick to not demolish the working setup. If it works well you can move it to your Extra or Efi Folder whatever you like.

  1. Extract Dsdt (DCPI Manager, Chimera/Chameleon, Clover are able to do so)
  2. Get MaciASL , goto Preferences, Sources, add http://pjalm.info/repos/gigabyte and https://raw.github.com/toleda/audio_hdmi_8series/master
  3. Open your native DSDT with MaciASL
  4. Press Patch and apply Necessary Patches (Generic 8 Series, Desktop HD5k)
  5. Compile the new DSDT and move into your Bootloader Folder

This work is done by palm toleda and others, contribute it

Take a look here Haswell HDMI Audio. Use the 8 Series SSDT for enabling HDMI audio. All you will have to do is edit the AppleHDA and AppleIntelFramebufferAzul.kext, placing the SSDT in your /Extra folder (rename it to SSDT.aml) to have HDMI audio working with HD4600. Take your time to read it and extract the information that is relevant to you. I have a pretty good feeling it will resolve the snow on start up also.
