Seems like I have an issue with time sync after the 10.9.1 update. At least that's what I think it was. I don't remember having this issue before. If the screen goes off, or into sleep mode, you have to open Date & Time Preferences to refresh. Anyone else getting this?

anyone having the issue of your usb 3 hard drive showing up in system profile but not mounting as a hard drive on a usb 3 port??

my board is x79s-up5-wifi rev. 1.1 and i have used usb patch GenericUSBXHCI_1.2.7 and the on in multibeast. this sucks because its a recommended board in the custobuilds

anyone?

Don't have this issue, both with and without the USB3 kext I get my drives recognized and working as USB3 at startup. (so should I keep this kext???)

However I got a different USB problem: after running for a while the computer wouldn't recognize USB2/3 devices without restart.

The Atheros - Shailua's ALXEthernet 1.0.2 kext is also buggy.
It is causing random KP-s under high network loads on Z77 boards.
Even using Time Machine or your NAS is enough.
However the previously included AtherosL1cEthernet.kext 1.2.3 is stable on my system.

GA-Z77-DS3H rev 1.0 still use AR8151 chipset while GA-Z77-DS3H rev 1.1 use AR8161 chipset.
The ALXEthernet kext can support 8151 and 8161, however, it just freezes the machine under heavy network traffic. I suspect that it involves memory leak.

Using AtherosL1cEthernet.kext is the way to solve the freeze in rev 1.0. In the case of rev. 1.1, I have no choice but purchase an extra realtek NIC.

I strongly suggest that removing ALXEthernet.kext but retain AtherosL1cEthernet.kext.

Currently you have to obtain AtherosL1cEthernet from alternative sources because it is not included in MultiBeast.

Yes, I'm aware of that. Too bad that neither kext for atheros chips are actively maintained. I've already purchased a TP-Link TG-3269 but it works only with applertl8169ethernet kext which is also unstable. So now I will retry with a HP NC360T :)

My system is working fine as it is so I don't know if I should run this new one
