Nice build!
Random question, it is safe (static and such) to build and turn on your pc parts over a towel? I presume it's a cotton one. I'm looking to put my case over one to prevent scratches on my case and desk.

Thank you :)

I will be adding to it I do hope, or swapping things about.
With the sleep working I am really thinking of making it my main again and possibly retiring the Sabertooth X58
i feel the retirement of x58
i feel a 7xx card for that build,if u r like me u game on these fast machines….
I'm still running 10.8 on my x58 setup i can't get 10.9 to run,and i don't have time to deal
with it
my h55 runs 10.9.1 no issues(gigabyte)
i might do a 1150 build soon and take the h55 out of the g5 case(now with a tray installed)

i use antistatic foam when doing(open) testing…
cotton is usually ok but there is still a static risk...

There is a foam pad under it, you can just barely see it, cut to size.\
Should've mentioned that in the pic but it is there, you can just see it on the right of the mobo sticking out.

My X58 Sabertooth is running currently on 10.9.1 with no issues thus far, I just have too many set ups and would really like to run the X79 now, I did before and it was a great set up.

I currently have a 670 but will have to wait on any 7XX GPUs. I have a Phenom case that is empty and begging for an Asus Max Gene VI lol

kool good luck.......
i finally got the asus to install mavericks...
a noob brain fart on my behalf...chimera flags are"CaSe"<lol sensitive!!!!

and i finally got smart and redid my g5 with a motherboard tray...

WOW! Very cool:thumbup:

Thanks for posting this, you've planted the seed for me to pull my UD5 MOBO out of retirement, pick up a 3820 and see if I can duplicate your efforts.

Can't wait to see your updates.

Yeah I am at 10.9.2,
I had to use cpus=1 to get into it with my processor. I also needed npci=0x2000.
It was a real struggle especially with my 610. I had to end up using my 670 to get things going and running. After that I edited my boot.plist. I am still running at one pstate though, so no PM even though sleep works cpu just runs at 37pstat

Great! So what's your Boot.plist please?
This is mine:

<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>No</string>
<key>IGPEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Kernel</key>
<string>mach_kernel</string>
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>darkwake=0 npci=0x2000</string>
<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Instant Menu</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>2</string>
<key>UseKernelCache</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Graphics Mode</key>
<string>1680x1050x32@60</string>

After the 10.9.2 update reboot, i've an infinite loop on Apple logo...
Can only boot using -x GraphicsEnabler=No npci=0x2000

Then i reinstall Audio drivers, FakeSMC, Intel Ethernet drivers... evreything...
Did i forgot something? Your Multibeast settings are welcome too ;)

Many thx!
