Hi,
I am unable to see the installer screen and hence I am not able to install Mavericks. Please Help.

I tried installing Mavericks using these steps http://www.tonymacx86.com/374-unibeast-install-os-x-mavericks-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html

I tried using different flags too, but I'm getting a flickering screen one time and then the laptop restarts.
I tried all possible combinations like GraphicsEnabled=Yes/No, -v, -x, IGPEnabled=Yes/No, etc. But it doesn't seems to be working.

My laptop configuration is:

Intel Core i7-4700MQ @ 2.40 Ghz
Haswell 22nm Technology
16 GB RAM
Intel HD Graphics 4600
2 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M

Please Help.
Thank You

You need to patch the kernel. See: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...-locked-msrs-hp-envy-15-j063cl-i7-4700mq.html

You may also need to remove the nvidia kexts (NV*, Geforce*) from the USB.

And try these flags to boot the installer:
IGPEnabler=N GraphicsEnabler=N -x -v -f UseKernelCache=N dart=0

You may be able to tack on PCIRootUID=1 and not have to delete the nvidia kexts. Let me know on that one... I don't have any hardware with nvidia optimus (I avoid it as it doesn't work in OS X, and I don't need it in Windows).

Ok, do you know how to delete nvidia kexts files from the USB?
I really have no idea. Actually I'm dual booting with Windows 8. So do I need to uninstalling the nvidia driver inside Windows?

Yes I have deleted the Kexts files from the USB and still the problem persists. The screen flickers and then the system restarts, Please help.
Thank You

Did you patch mach_kernel?

No I did not patch the mach_kernel instead i tried using the flag UseKernelCache=No. And later I also tried after deleting the Kernel cache from the USB, still the same problem.

I don't know how to patch the mach_kernel, couldn't figure out how to do it. Please help.
Thank You so much for sparing some of your precious time in helping me. Please help me to patch.

Can You please patch the kernel and attach in your post? I tried but couldn't figure out how to do. Please help.
Thank You

Hi,
Thank you so much. After patching with your given mach_kernel, without using any flags, I was able to successfully boot and get the installer screen. I followed all the steps for installation. But unfortunately The same problem(flickering or black screen) is there when I try to boot from the installed partition. Please help. I tried using few flags too but it didn't work.
Thank you
