Where are you finding 14.2 Sysdefs in multibeast?

ahhh nvm I found it... it did not resolve the problem. =/

Sorry it didn't work for you. Do you have HDMI enabled? Maybe that did the trick for me together with the sysdef?

are you talking about 1080p display mode in boot options?

Gigabyte Z8ZM-D3H, I5 4750S, 4600

I have this fussy screen only with mine on my old monitor an LG W2261 os x is as solid as a rock
only when I try to use my new monitor the dell s2440L it starts this fuzziness thing.

It works ok on the dell at 720p as soon as you up to 1080p intermittent fuzz lots making the monitor
unusable both are plugged in via an An HDMI cable and there is nothing wrong with the dell on a win based machine???

Any ideas:?:

I have the exact same monitor and exact same problem. When i head home in the next couple days, I will try a dvi->vga converter to see if the fuzzyness continues.

Sorted

DVI To HDMI Cable

Thanks anyway!

Sorted

DVI To HDMI

don't think vga will work as I'm not sure os x supports via anymore
I got nothing out of the vga port

Good luck

Sweet! Thanks Ill have to give it a try!

yeah vga isnt supported by OS X anymore but if i did a dvi->vga would the OS recognize it as dvi or vga? I was assuming it would recognize it as dvi.

Im not too familiar with dvi. Did you use DVI-d or DVI-i? or does it not matter?
