Thank you...I think my USB 3 ports are working properly. I get about 70Mb/Sec read/write speeds off of some external drives (non SSD) with USB 3 enclosures. I think that's good performance....right?

Yeah I had that one installed and it worked for awhile but then it stopped working so I found this one, It must be a modded version or something cuz it's working flawlessly.

Go to About My Mac and go to USB and see if the external is connected to Superbus Speed.

UPDATE:
So the overclock does work with those settings that I posted. When I run the benchmark on Prime95 it sends the results to a .txt file and I just thought it overwrite the file everytime, but it actually records all the results, so I was looking at the wrong result. However, the overclock on Mac doesn't go to exactly what you set it to. If I have it set to 4.2ghz it goes to 4.02 ghz, and if I have the overclock set to 4.5ghz it goes to 4.3 Ghz. Kinda weird but it's close enough.

Is your BCLK percentage lower than 100%?

That is weird, but I have to say that Mavericks has some issues with X79 systems. I just built one for a friend last week-end and OC-ing it was a bitch.

It's set to 100. Must be a Mavericks problem. I also have a problem in Mavricks where Preview won't open a picture. It crashes everytime

Good to know. I'm holding off jumping to Mavericks until I absolutely have to since Mountain Lion is running so well for me.

I had the same issue, if you tried to enable OpenCl by replacing the libclh.dylib file located in /System/Library/Extensions "GeForceGLDriver.bundle", undo this to regain the use of preview.

Do not use the steps below to enable OpenCl!

Enabling OpenCL

The following steps will allow you to enable OpenCL on the GTX 670. This also works for the GTX 680 but other cards I'm not sure about.

1) Download the file "libclh.dylib" from http://rghost.net/39181502

2) Navigate to /System/Library/Extensions and find the file "GeForceGLDriver.bundle"

3) Right click on this file and select "Show Package Contents"

4) Select "Contents" then "Mac OS" and you will find the original "libclh.dylib" file. Rename this "libclhBAK.dylib"

5) Copy the new "libclh.dylib" file you just downloaded, enter your password and restart your computer. Done!

So what's the proper way to enable CL?
