Thanks a mil wildwillow  the problem is resolved now.
You were correct the trick was GraphicsEnabler = YES.:headbang:
Steps
1. I went to BIOS (thistime I am connected to HDMI-DVI cable from mobo internal graphics to monitor) changed Init Display First = IGFX to Init Display First = PCI. Not sure why IGFX did not work (no graphics in monitor).
2. Went to org.chameleon.Boot.plist and changed
<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
Earlier it was NO.

I can see BIOS and select different OS now from Chimera boot screen connecting 9800GT to monitor via DVI-DVI cable.

 Totally off topic but as I can not PM you till now so asking here (Admins please dont mind :)).
I saw you were using CM CPU cooler to GAZ87X-OC.
Just asking if you can give some idea. I am thinking to get Noctua NHD14. Noctua says cooler fan pins might touch GPU upper face components (near cooler)if used in slot1 for our mobo.
http://www.noctua.at/main.php?show=compatibility_gen&products_id=34&lng=en#LGA1155_Gigabyte
(search with GA-Z87X-OC).
Can you suggest
1. Can I use any GPU with our mobo in slot2 with 16X support ... full BW?
2. Can I use Noctua NHD14 in our mobo with GPU as GTX 780 or 770 (by MSI) without touching ?

Again thanks for elevating the road block.:D
....
NicoX.

Hi WW,
I was a bit out of phase due to work now time to sit down to rig and test.
My system is working awesome with 2 OSXs 10.9 & 10.8.5 and windows 7.
I observe an issue with Map (I saw some post here related to that too,but could not figure out).
I am connected to world using WiFi adapter DWA 556. As the router gets started and finding a near by DNS for internet ..
if I open Apple Map application in 10.9 it shows a screen filled with snow (I mean a old TV screen without signal ) till it downloads all the images. :silent:
The same happens to 10.9 login screen when I leave the system for sleep and come back after ~40 min.
The entire screen filled up with snow then logon screen comes back.:banghead:
I quoted my last post to show what I did to enable the graphics.
Any clue man :?:

Regards
NicoX

Hi NicoX,

This is a test for you. In your BIOS set Init Display First to IGFX, take out your 9800 and plug your monitors cable into the motherboard port. Boot into OS X and test maps.

Hi WW,
I went your way and it really works :)
Did 3 changes.
:!: in BIOS set Init Display First = IGFX, removed GPU 9800GT
:!: rebooted with mother board HDMI to DVI cable
Map problem gone.
So is my GPU causing the problem? But need a GPU to share graphics stuff :)
What do you suggest WW ?

Hi wild willows,
I am running maverick now, but when I check on my system under graphics card, i can only see nvidia 770. I cannot see the intel 4600. Do I need to have the 4600 detected on my hackintosh as well? I am using one monitor not 2 like your setting. Please advise if I need the intel 4600 detected in my hackintosh as well? I am doing video editing and gaming with my hackintosh.

And any good software for dual booting? I have my maverick and windows 8.1 install in different hard drive. windows 8.1 on my samsung ssd and my maverick on an old SATA 3 Harddisk. Now, I am unplugging my sad and all my data hard drive. Only my maverick is installed. Is there away, that I do not need to re install my windows 8.1.
Please help.

I would suggest treating yourself to a new graphics card or asking Santa for one as the holiday season approaches. Preferably one that works out of the Box from the Buyer's Guide. Using GraphicsEnabler=No and IGPEnabler=Yes has caused me no issues.

There is no reason for you to have both graphics options available to you when you are only using one monitor. Using the 770 is a better option for your needs, its more powerful than the HD4600. If I had the 770 I would use dual monitors from that and not the HD4600 combined.

In my opinion its a better solution to have your OS's on individual drives for the obvious reasons. If you are unable to boot Windows 8.1 from Chimera then best to install Windows in Legacy mode, as Chimera can then boot it. Hence the dual boot.
