Legacy is correct. IOReg says your audio is working. See Mavericks: Audio - Realtek ALC AppleHDA.

Thanks for replying! I've read your guide. What do you suggest I should do next? Could the audio from Nvidia Graphics card cause an issue?

Also my bootflags include "GraphicsEnabler=Yes npci=0x2000 USBBusFix=Yes". I hope 0x2000 doesn't disable audio.

On a side note, I'm using the back panel green output for my headphones. (Also checked other colored outputs for audio)

Just checked the console messages and it has a bunch of these messages:
"12/1/13 10:01:45.000 AM kernel[0]: Sound assertion in AppleHDAWidget at line 2181"

What does the guide say about npci=0x2000? Do what the guide says.
What does the guide say the System Preferences selection is for green port audio?

Thanks. Any other suggestions? Or is it not going to work..

You did not answer my questions.

Sorry,
The guide doesn't say anything about npci=0x2000. npci=0x3000 disables audio.

Green port is for front speakers. I plugged my headphones in that port since I don't have front panel and tried with all the output devices in System Preferences.

Typo/Fixed. npci=0x2000 disables audio.
One selection in Preferences works one audio port. When you have the headphones plugged into the green port on the motherboard, what is the correct selection in Preferences? What is the sound source?

Okay, just to make sure does npci=0x2000 and 0x3000 both disables audio?

Under System Preferences, I had it on "Internal Speakers" (System Information : Built-in Output) when plugging headphones in the green port.

Now, I used npci=0x3000 in my boot flag but then all I have in System Information is Audio ID: 1 and no output devices in System Preferences.

UPDATE: Removed npci from bootflags. Now, devices are listed in the System Information and System Preferences. But still can't hear any audio.
