What is the output of:
Code:
# in Terminal
kextstat|grep -y acpiplatform

That is strange... You could try MacBookPro9,2 sysdef.

And I'm pretty sure that MacBookPro8,1 with "sandy bridge style" (plugin-type 0) SSDT would work, but might not be optimal.

Also, verify that /System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/X86PlatformPlugin.kext/Contents/Resources/Mac-2E6FAB96566FE58C.plist

exists...

It makes me wonder if there is some incompatibility with i3 CPUs and MacBookAir sysdef (no Macs come with Core i3 CPUs).

I'll let you know if I think of something else...

Installed new smbios with MacBookPro9,2 sysdef. Rebooted and ran Geekbench 3 again (32-bit Intel). Pstates remained at 8. However, the difference is that I only received the I/O error one time, where it throttled to 9Hz. Single-Core Score was 700, Multicore Score was 1385. http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/219109

I got all the way to the "Resources" folder at the end, then nothing is in that folder.

The explains your problem. Restore that kext to stock as it was after a fresh install...

Restore which kext? the IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext or X86PlatformPlugin.kext?
And should I use the Kext Utility to just install after copying from my installation USB? I want to make sure I do it right.

/System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPlugInFamily.kext. That will take care of all the PlugIns inside it.

BTW, do you have an idea as to what happened to it?

I have no idea. It could be either the flash player, or even the Wifi installation. I will scour through them and see. I think those are the only two items I've installed other than going through the original process. I also installed the Generic USB kext from inside the Multibeast program, because after I would reboot after multibeast installation reboot, my USB drives would quit working. Installing that Generic USB Kext helped them keep working.

I'll look inside those three items, and see what may have caused it.

You're using a USB Wifi, I guess...

Yes, Unfortunately. I've never seen anything like what's inside this device... Id rather not attempt to replace the Intel Wifi Card that is inside. There's also no ethernet (CAT5) plugin. Only inputs here are two usb, power, and headphones.

I cant find where the kext files are located on this USB.... any insite?
