Hi

finally managed to install mavericks on my Asus X54C after some boot issues (could not boot w/o/ UniBeast USB). Solved it with some terminal codes and installed Chimera from Multibeast 6. Something noticable about the new software is the time it takes to fully boot. Im not sayin it is slow, after boot everyhing works nice (faster than ML). I can remeber the boot time with ML was about 37 seconds from Chimera-botloader screen. Now it takes 1:36 and when i get to the login screen i am not able to type in password, have to wait 15 seconds for the letters to show up. Never experienced something like this with ML on the same pc.

Well if I had not solved the cant-boot-without-usb issue and booted from unibeast
usb it takes less time. But after the post intallation and intalling the bootloader boot goes extremely slow.

My specs are not that bad :)

2,2 GHz Intel Core i3
6 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB

Software: OS X 10.9 (13A603)

Need more info? Please ask :)

Take a look at your system.log (you can use Console.app) to analyze what steps might be taking a long time. Look for "BOOT_TIME" which marks the start of the boot process.

Hi, thanks for replying

In the console app it says retrying over and over again. That might be the problem but i don't know why its.

The log is posted as pdf belowView attachment 73387

There are some USB problems... Try without any USB devices plugged in.

I don't have anything connected to my pc when i boot, so still the same error and boot time :banghead: This didn't happen when i booted from Unibeast usb, i think it has something to do with the post installation or boot loader - not sure tho.

Hello! I have the same problem... If anyone knows a fix please help!

What "same problem?"

Please provide complete details in your profile.

System: manufacturer/model
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx). For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Hi, I have same issue. My system:
Samsung R530-J50e
i3, 2,13Ghz
4 Gb Ram ddr3 1066hhz
Hdd Kingston SSd 240Gb, same issue with samsung sata 500gb
Sound ALC269 solve with voodoo 2.8.2
Wifi Atheros 9285 solve with kext patched
Nvidia Gt310

I have installed with unibeast and updated but when I use multibeast for post installation, It can´t start.
I have tried with several options, but It can not
If I start with unibeast the system is fast.
I have tried too install chimera and copy paste the folder extra from usb unibeast to system but same result.
Please help me.
The configuration of multibeast I think it is correct:
-Drivers
-audio: Universal VoodooHDA v 2.8.2
-disk: 3rd party sata and 10.9.x trim patch
-Misc: elliottforcelegacyrtc, evoreboot, fakesmc, nullcpupowermanagement and ps/2 keyboard/mice and trackpads
-Bootloader: Chimera 2.2.1
-Customize:
- Basic Boot options
- Graphicsenabler yes
- Use KernelCache

Please help me.
Thanks and sorry for my bad english
