Can the FCPX work well and good performance on your system?

jbalint88, Have you tested USb 3.0? Mine is not working. In fact everything appears to be ok and devices work but when transferring files bigger than 2GB the transfer stops and gets stuck. The same test works under ML and Windows 7. Could you please test it? Thank you.

Yea man. Hay have your same hardware (Except graphics card) I load your config, ssdt and dsdt and work fine. But I have problem with overclock.

I need to adjust any parameter in BIOS?

I have CPU Multiplier in 43 and all Turbo cores in 43, but i see the multiplier with HWMonitor not is over than 3,4Ghz :(

FIXED: Disable EIST in BIOS ;)

But now I want Chameleon... How is possible uninstall Clover

I used the Black Magic Disk Speed Test and I am well above the MB/s for USB 3.0 on my external HDD. See the posted screenie - you may use the generic USB 3.0 driver in Multi Beast - but I found I do not need them. It may be your drive as well. How is it formatted? Mine is GUID partition as Mac OS Journaled.

Well before you uninstall Clover you may want to tweak the Bios as follows for optimal OC
CPU Clock - 43
Overvoltage - Auto
Turbo - Auto
all 4 cores: 43
EIST: Auto

When I run HW Monitor my CPU goes from 16 - 21 - 39 - 43 depending on what I am running. Did you create your own config.plist by entering the terminal command I posted earlier?

If you want to uninstall clover, simply delete the EFI folder from you drive partition and install Chameleon/Chimera.
EFI partitions usually need to be mounted to be seen here is the steps to get it:

Open terminal, type: diskutil list and press enter, note the disk in which your EFI partition is located - mine is disk0s1 but yours may be different depending on your setup
then type: MKDIR /Volumes/EFI press enter
then type the following to mount the EFI partition: sudo mount -t msdos /dev/diskXs1 /Volumes/EFI press enter and type your password

Now EFI partition should show in finder, open the drive and delete the entire EFI folder located inside.

Install Chameleon/Chimera as normal. I would google Over clocking and clover UEFI before giving up on Clover - trust me its the closest you can get to native booting OS X and is very customizable once you learn by trial and error.

Based on the published system requirements you should be good. The CPU should be just fine as long as you have a good cooling system.

I am not running Final Cut Pro X but I built a similar system for a buddy and it is working for him. You may want a little higher end GFX as mine is more mid range - all the Call of Duty games work great but if are a serious editor you may want GTX 650 ti Boost or better. Plus my display is an Asus 23' LCD - good but not great.

Good luck!

Mine is NTFS but it works flawlessly when connected to internal Sata or connected to USB 3 under ML and Win7. Using generic driver didn't change anything. In fact the problem only appears when transferring a file bigger than 2GB from the computer to the external disk. This is when the transfer stops suddenly. Please if you any file bigger than 2 GB (any video) try to transfer it to the external disk using Finder to see if there is any issue. Thank you.

P.S: The issue doesn't show when transferring from the external disk to the PC (read) but only when writing to the external disk.

Yestarday I try to remove Clover removing the EFI folder and later reinstall Chimera, but in the next restart the bios try to run in EFI Mode and gat a boot error. I'm desesperate.

Did you install Clover preference pane? If not boot into your machine using your Unibeast installer, then try installing it and then select the option under NVRamVariables to force mount selected EFI partition to "No" see the screenshots I attached - OR - In Bios turn off UEFI boot and use Legacy only for your HDD that you have Chimera installed on. Make sure the drive that has Chimera installed is the first (or second if you use the DVD drive) that boots. And "force" the drive with Chimera to boot first.

I just moved a movie back and forth from my drive without any issues. Not sure why you are having the issue. Does your drive show up as an "orange" drive on your desktop and Finder - you may want to try and google your external drive to see if it has any Mac drivers out there. All I can share is how mine are set up and I have them formatted as Mac OS Journaled - not FAT32 or NTFS and they work fine without the USB 3.0 drivers. I do not use them in Win 7 fyi so that may be the compromise with USB 3.0 - try attaching it to a 2.0 slot and see if you can get it to work.
