Hi there, maybe the news reached to here too, that you can upgrade free from iWork 09 to iWork 2013 via the App Store. But as I tried that and for everybody else it worked, for me it gives me the error message:

Update Unavailable with This Apple ID

This update is for an app downloaded with a different Apple ID. Sign in with that Apple ID and try again.

Maybe it is because of the installation through the usb dongle, instead via App store? I came in with a fresh install, after formatting the partition. Installed every kexts, everything is working fine.I just cannot install the free upgrade.

Maybe somebody knows an answer. If it is the wrong section, please move it to the right one.

Did you install iWork 09 by downloading from a different Apple ID, or installing from USB dongle?

I think you'll find someone downloaded the free trial linked to their apple ID and as yours doesn't match it's not authorised

I've managed it, by following a guide somewhere:

I did a fresh install on a vmware fusion 6 machine (using the USB drive created with unibeast).

Associate the VM mac user with your apple id

Change VM main system language to English and reboot the VM

Download and install iWork trial (works with aperture trial, too). Don't open any iWork program.

Now the update should appear and your mac app store. click update and the download should start.

Start and pause downloading every single update you wish.

Now the iWork apps should appear also on the Purchases tab in mac app store. Same on the host machine. Now you can update on the host, too.

How did you use your Unibeast USB dongle to install Mac in VMWare?

At the first execution of the virtual machine, a boot screen appeared asking for the device to boot from. I just selected my usb dongle and evertything worked.

Using this method I could also update aperture and iphoto, whereas I'm not been able to update imovie yet, because MAS complains about the video card of the VM that is not powerful enough for the latest imovie version, and prevents the update to be downloaded.

looks like your method is broken, or something i missed ?

The trial version of iWork is no longer supported. But you can easily purchase Keynote, Pages, and Numbers from the Mac App Store to start creating beautiful presentations, documents, and spreadsheets today.
Code:

The trial version of Aperture is no longer available. If you currently have a copy of the Aperture 3 Trial installed on your Mac, you must delete it from your Applications folder before downloading Aperture 3 from the Mac App Store.

Sorry, I didn't mention iWork and Aperture Trial versions are no longer available on the Apple website.
I managed to download iWork from here:
http://mac.softpedia.com/get/Business/Apple-iWork-06.shtml
click Download and then External Mirror 1.

For Aperture, I downloaded a trial version from t*****t
