upgraded to mavericks, I have a DS3H- Mountain lion was snappier, and smoother. mavericks is meh, thinking about going to 10.8.5 . I am having network issues, internet stops working all of the sudden, have to reboot, so far experienced one crash... I disable some of the keychain features and it seems to have helped with the network issues. Is anyone experiencing any internet loss of connectivity I have a DS3h, i use the on board ethernet, I pick Aishas aetheros or something like that, and i have a tp wifi...

is there anyone who got iworks & ilife for free from appstore???
Tks

If I am running the Z77X-UD5H ver 1.0 3770 processor, and using internal HD4000 graphics do I still need to do the unibeast upgrade method?
I am running 10.8.5 setup as a Mac mini and it's working perfectly.

Yes you still have to create the UniBeast install USB, it will not boot into Mavericks if you just install from the Install.App.

Easiest solution that I found. Run UniBeast as if you were installing fresh, But do not partition your installation drive, Just select continue and it will update over your ML 10.8.5 partition. Then when it restarts, just let it boot like it did in ML. Then reinstall your Audio/Ethernet if needed to. You should be good to go, Please back up your drive/data prior to the update.

I updated my Ivy/Haswell Builds this morning with no problems.

I upgraded both my Asrock p67 fatl!ty professional w/ 2600k & my Asus sabertooth z77 w/ 3770k to Maverics. The as rock (for once) was totally trouble free. The nvidia web drivers for the 580 are of course now out of date, but the drivers in mavericks appear to work fine. On the other hand the sabertooth z77 board kernel panicked on cpu powermanagment, so I had to boot into safe mode and reinstall nullcpupowermanagment.kext. I also had to reinstall drivers for sound and network. Sleep worked on the asus in 10.8.4, and does not work now, but I have not investigated. Sleep is not an issue on the Asrock board, so I never test it.

So is it not possible to update in place via the App Store download and setup? I was hoping to not lose the installed stuff on my machine.

You can do a fresh install from a USB stick without losing data. Make sure you backup first, and just don't erase the HD in the process.

Easiest install ever!

I upgraded from ML using a USB stick (latest Unibeast + Mavericks downloaded from Appstore). My first reboot, the Ethernet card wasn't be detected, updating the driver from Multibeast then work fine. The only problem now I can't install VoodooHDA.kext (2.8.4) from either Multibeast or other sources and keeps me the error "System extension cannot be used - The system extension "/System/Library/Extensions/VoodooHDA.kext" was installed improperly and cannot be used"

drwxr-xr-x@ 3 root wheel 102 Jun 8 11:55 VoodooHDA.kext

My ad-hoc solution is to run command in Terminal "kextload -v VoodooHDA.kext" every time I restart the machine to make audio working. If anyone knows a solution, please advise. Thank you.

Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H. Installed Mavericks as update. Ran Multibeast 6. Seems fine except for sound. Board has Realtek 898 codec, so I selected Without DSDT ALC898. Sound message is "No output devices found". Any advice appreciated.

Reinstalled - All is well!
