UniBeast: Install OS X Mavericks on Any Supported Intel-based PC

I think I am confused....
I have one mac (pre-2007 I believe) and one imac, both running 10.6.8
When I try to upgrade to OS X Mavericks, it says it cannot complete the purchase, and won't let me download the os x mavericks.
I know both my computers are intel based, and have enough RAM and hard drive space for mavericks. Unfortunately, none of them are "upgradeable" to os mavericks.
So, when I start from the beginning, I do have a 8G USB drive. I have downloaded unibeast and multibeast, but cannot go beyond step 1, line 3 which is to download os mavericks from the app store. How do I download it if macstore tells me that they are not upgradeable? I am sure the answer to my problem is simple. Maybe I should be using different procedure than the one listed here?
Thanks so much for all your help in advance.

Successfully Install. But I can boot only with -f -v..... any tip? please

I am getting "The installation failed" error msg. Trying to make this on Z87X-UD5H. Can someone help me out with this plz. Thanks!

just updated mountain lion with this. So far no issues, even bluetooth works. The update has been painless. Thanks so much for the super timely update. I really appreciate the work here guys.

I'm going to be running this tonight on my CustoMac Pro 2012 with the GA-Z77X-UD5H, Intel 3570K, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX670. As my build is pretty typical around here and I've had little in the way of problems in the past I expect a relatively easy upgrade. (Knock on wood.)

I'll post back here with any updates or problems in encounter. Good luck to everyone trying the upgrade tonight!

Thanks for all your hard work.

I normally pay a friend to do my upgrades and installs for major releases of OSX. I decided to try installing Mavericks on my own.

Followed all the steps above.....all went well until booting after restart. Epic fail. My system kernel panics during boot process. Not sure why or how to even begin to figure it out.

I'm now restoring my system back to Mtn Lion. Thank God for back ups. I'll report back in 9 hours if restore worked.......

I have a bad ass system......i7 3.4 GHZ....Gigabyte....with Geforce Ti 660.....16 GB ram etc. Also have a Fusion Drive set up. My system is rockn'. Love it....but Mavericks will have to wait!

Cheers....

Saratoga

I'm having issues with the new Unibeast 3.0.0 Update and OSX Mavericks. I partitioned and formatted the 8gb flash drive following all instructions, to 1 MBR partition in OSX Extended Journaled, and then Unibeast hangs on "Running Package Scripts". Mavericks is in my Applications folder as always, but Unibeast seems unable to create the drive. It's been running for over 20 minutes now on my i7 3770K and it still says "About a minute" left.

Awesome!! Can anyone direct me to an update guide plz? I'd love to try Mavericks out!

=======
Managed to read the guide properly and found out I could upgrade :)
When I was executing in safe mode trying to install multibeast, my system kept freezing during the way.
I plugged out two of my 3 monitors and then it worked like a charm.
For any of you that also have multi monitors and multibeast freezes your machine.
I'm on nvidia GTX 650. Not sure why but the graphics do seem a bit laggy......

I can't even get Unibeast to open. Every time I download it, when I go to open it, I'm told “UniBeast - 3.0.0” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash." I've tried both from outside the OS and inside.
