Yes, i searched this forum, there are many occasions of this. Mine is different.
I bought a used hp probook 4530s because i read that it is the easiest hackintoshable notebook. I bought the english ML 10.8.5 from mac app store, and i bought a 16GB usb3 stick. The stick is partitioned into 2 8GB partitions.
The probook configuration is, unlike others mentioning, different. It has a pentium processor, no core i*. 5GB of ram, 500 GB disk. There is Realtek wifi module so i guess i am not even trying to have wifi working. 1366 screen.
The graphics switching is disabled in bios, so running only on Intel graphics, no sign of Ati card. I updated bios to disable some VT-x or something similar but there is no such option after upgrade either. I read somewhere that I have to disable this in BIOS.
The installation goes well, until first boot (step 7 of http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook/77057-guide-installing-mountain-lion-hp-probook.html)
The usb stick is in frontmost left usb port. There is no other device connected to probook. At first boot after the install is done, (i keep usb stick stuck in stack) I select internal hard drive to boot (verbose). It seems to load ok, then a grey screen appears with a mouse pointer in the top left corner of the screen which after a while changes to rotating beach ball. I can move the pointer with touchpad. That is all I can do with the probook. If i wait and do nothing for several minutes, the screen turns black until I press a key. Some sort of screensaver, i guess.
I hard-reset it and booted again, now also with -x option. It booted in safemode and I got further - language, date time etc, account, and finally logging in to the desktop. Then I continued with further steps. I ran the Probook installer 6.1.6 which I copied to desktop first. I selected the items exactly according to step 14. At about the end of probook installer installation, a Install Failed message is displayed - another bad sign of something bad. I removed the usb stick and rebooted the probook - it started booting from disk (I used verbose option) and it returned a kernel panic.
So this is my story about the easiest-hackintoshable laptop.
