wanted to report an issue with Asus Maximus V Formula mobo. currently on modified 1408 bios. downloaded PMPatch 5.13 for both mac and pc, patched every possible version of BIOS available on ASUS site for the mobo. unable to flash to any version of bios resulting in "Security Verification Failed". command line output below for latest version of BIOS:

going to try flashing back to legit bios and then flashing again with latest modified patch (1903).

Update: flashing back to official 1604 and then patching again with modified 1903 was not successful via bios EZ Flash utility from within BIOS. will try with rear IO flashback tool.

Update2: renaming the BIOS update to M5F.CAP and flashing via flashback appears to have been successful to patched 1903.

I have question for PMPatch.

I'm currently running Windows 8.1. And i want to patch my bios from my Asrock H87m Motherboard. But in the patching proces. It keeps getting an error:

Can't Create Output File , Permission Denied.

I've tried it on a windows 7 computer, i've tried it in administrator mode. But still no succes.

Anybody knows whats wrong?

I managed to patch my bios flash file by doing it in OSX. This is how I did it:

I downloaded the latest bios version for my MSI motherboard and placed the file on my Macbook. Downloaded the MAC version of the pmpatch by CodeRush: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/285444-pmpatch-uefi-patching-utility/

Hello.
I have the Asus UX31A and i have been trying to install osx and pmpatch the bios but it did not work. I was wondering if you can help me out. I patched 219 but when try to flash it said wrong file size. What did you use to flash? If possible can I get a copy of your bios for the UX31A v219? thanks.

Excuse my ignorance because I'm only in week two of gathering every bit of information that I need in order to build my rig, but could/would I need to run this patch with my (planned) Gigabyte Z87x. I'm either going with the UD5h or UD5-TH models.
