I had the same problem since I updated to UEFI today.
Disabling "Fast Boot" (in your UEFI-Settings) did it for me.

hi i know this is totally off topic but i see you have a Ab9 pro also, can you give me tips for getting it going with mountain lion. i am having a heck of time
been trying a million different boot arguments and retail and distros but can never get into installer
