Glad to see the news today!

Apple Updates iMac With New Intel Haswell Processors, Speedy 802.11ac Wi-Fi And Faster Flash Storage

:rolleyes:I have successfully installed 10.8.5 onto my newly build Hackintosh, Bluetooth that comes with the board works but not the wifi card. Anyway, I do have another Native Wifi card that works. Sleep/ Wake, Sounds, Internet, iMessage, Facetime and iTunes, iCloud work. My score on Geekbench is 17490.
Only issue is sometimes when I boot up, it would freeze and I have to reboot again to make it work. I guess is just some fine tuning.
Thank You so much to this Website especially to Macman for his work, Moderator for his replies.:headbang:

The bad news is that Haswell using iTunes 11.1 is just as broken with protected video content as Ivy Bridge. This is also true with OS X Bret and Bart. :banghead:

Tom

I don't believe the problem lies in being "broken" with protected video. I can play protected video over airplay to Apple TV, just not to the computer display. I've read that it works with the Cinema Display or using display port with an HD monitor. Not confirmed though.

For anyone who has not been able to boot a Haswell system with 10.8.5, but was able to boot a 10.8.4 modded kernel, 10.8.5 should boot with cpus=1. (Yes it is very slow). This goes to show that cpu recognition is still an issue with 'some' CPUs or motherboards for 10.8.5, and we will still need a modded kernel for 10.8.5.

UPDATE: Actually, this is not the case. cpus=1 does not work.

I have the same issue with my ASROCK H87M-PRO4 It works well with 10.8.4. Everything but ALC982 Audio is fine.

When I try to boot with UniBeast 2.1, the Apple logo flashes on screen briefly before a reboot

I have tried just about every option -x, cpus=1, npci=0x3000, GraphicsEnabler=no

It seems that ASROCK was not a good choice for a Hackintosh but then I did not think that it could be so different to Gigabyte - obviously that is the preferred MB for OSX

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

I can confirm the exact same problem in my ASROCK H87M-PRO4.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU

I can boot in safe mode no problem but the loading bar never shows up during a full boot.
