Hi all.

I can see that the ga-h87n-wifi is now at this months buyers guide. However i can not find any complete build on this mother board.

Has any of you guys built a Hackintosh with it? Where is the DSDT, i read someone said that this mobo does not need it, is it true? Also i came across people not getting the sound to work, has that being fixed?

In short, what works and what does not work on the new ga-h87n-wifi?

thanks!

I just picked up this board too because I saw it in the compatibility section but I don't see any DSDT's for it listed. as for custom settings I have no idea which to choose.

so im kinda bummed out i wanted to get the hackintosh side working tonight.

Gigabyte motherboards don't need DSDTs.

Well, a lot of people said that you don't need DSDT, so they might be right.
Please let me know how it turns out? I am almost sure I'm gonna buy it, just want someone to tell me if it is a good idea or not.

Look for guides for a Z77N, as far as I know they are pretty much the same board, like the LAN, sound, usb, cards and all. So your multybeast settings should be the same as the Z77 for you Z87.

Good luck!!!!

I bought this board H87N-WI-FI, because it was recommended, one would assume this means all hardware should be recognized (inaccurate). however to answer the above you do not need DSDT to make it boot with 10.9 but it will hang in ML. audio is easily repaired with multibeast, select without DSDT ALC892 and without DSDT HDAEnabler, this should fix audio. I have not been able to use the internal graphics at a higher resolution than 1024x768. Does anyone have a fix? I intended this to be a low cost (under $500) setup and had no intention of using an add-on card.

Oh ya and no one should ask about the built-in wifi it might be a long time before that's going to work.......

Thanks for the fix on Wifi. Did you happen to get the onboard graphics to be fully recognized?
