I updated using the combo update method, ran disk repair after installation before rebooting and got the following error message:
verify volume failed: framework unable to communicate with the disk management daemon

I restarted my computer and now when it boots to the apple logo it reboots again on repeat. I have no idea what to do, anyone with any suggestions? please help, thanks.

Hi, i installed using combo update method from the haswell 10.8.4 early adopters install i had working, repaired disk permissions, installed combo update, re-installed audio driver, ran disk permissions again before rebooting and got the following error message:

verify volume failed: framework unable to communicate with the disk management daemon

I rebooted my computer to finish installation and now once it gets to the apple logo it immediately reboots itself indefinitely. I have no idea what to do or how to go about fixing this. has anyone got any advice or now what is going on with my system.

Thanks

I installed the 10.8.5 from the App Store without even thinking. When I rebooted everything was fine except the audio; it's a simple process to get it working.

Bearing in mind I did all this after installing the update.

1. Repair Disk Permissions
2. Open Multibeast - re-install audio drivers
3. Repair Disk Permissions again
4. Reboot

Now everything should be working.

Update here OK! Run MultiBeast to install audio ALC889 and after reboot everything works!!

What about the Sandy Bridge-E or Ivy Bridge-E support and X79/C50X chipsets?

Cheers.

Done the combo, no problems noticed. Geez, I have cleanest install - just ran the package and rebooted at its prompt :)

This update just killed my Mountain Lion !!! WTF!
I updated as suggested and ran multibeast before restarting. Also, did a permission fix before restarting. Now all I see past Chimera is a f**king white screen with the apple logo in the middle.
Attention geniuses, please help.
