I have a Hackintosh with a PCI-E Ethernet card, Corer 2 Duo E 4300 1.8 GHZ, Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT graphics and a 945GCT-HM (Livermore) motherboard, and I can't seem to get the App Store, iMessage, or any similar features to work. I have tried changing my serials to point to Apple's Self-serve warranty check site, and I have tried booting with PCIRootUID=1, but my computer will go into power save and refuse to boot. I hope that somebody here might have gone through the same experience, and perhaps could offer some hints or suggestions so I may be able to get the aforementioned problems resolved. Thanks so much for your time.

Use the bootflag EthernetBuiltIn=Yes and see if it works.

Hello, and thank you for posting. I tried that, and it still won't work (The App Store and etc.) Does it have anything to do with my network being PCI-E rather than being built into the mobo?

I saw this posted somewhere and saved it for future reference - It may help you.

1. Download EFI Studio
2. Open EFIStudio and select Ethernet, then Add Device. Click "Hex string to Clipboard".
3. Open org.chameleon.Boot.plist and add:

<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>device-properties</key>
<string>_paste_your_value_</string>

4. Remove all network devices from System Preferences/Network.
5. Delete NetworkInterfaces.plist (sudo rm Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist)
7. Reboot.
8. Go to System Preferences/Network add devices. Click (Ethernet) first! Then you can add other adapters you use.

Thank you for your post as well.. That also did not work... what worked for me was downloading and installing the file "FileNVRAM.dylib" That fixed all of my issues. :)
