Installation of Mountain Lion on Asus P5K-VM, Q6600 and GeForce 8800 512MB

thank you for your HowTo and Files. Unfortunately I can't extract the zip-Archiv because I got the error 22 - invalid argument.

till step 7 everythings worked fine with some modifications!
I did the following steps:

1. Booting from Easybeast Stick with the following option (without this the monitor turns off after boot logo):


PCIRootUID=0


2. Install 1 Partition "Macintosh HD" --> Reboot


4. Install FakeSMC.kext and Marvell88oe556network.kext with Kext Helper B7 --> Reboot


5. Install Chimera 2.0.1 and copied your Extra Folder (with my own DSDT and without the modules folder and org.chameleon.Boot.plist)
I used the following Boot.plist instead of my Option PCIRootUID=0:

Than Update the Mac via AppStore.


6. Install Audio Kexts and reboot. (Only the Front worked for me)

7. After following the instructions to install the icloud fix and use the EFI loader my Monitor turns off after the boot logo. Can't fix this issue. I tried the option -x and -v -f....

Tried these steps for two times, every time from the beginnung . Now I will try to install Multibeast with my own DSDT.aml

Hello,

I installed Mountain Lion again with Multibeast and my own DSDT.aml. After that the chimera 2.0.1, and HDB's kexts for LAN and Audio. I didn't need the icloud fix! Login to iCloud, AppStore and iMessage works fine.
But nevertheless the problems from my first post exist:

• Sleep Mode doesn't work and crashed the system (hard drive shuts down but fans continue to run and I can't wake up the system. Starting the pc with the option -v hangs in the attached screenshot)
• Wake On LAN doesn't work

Hope you can help me, without install the mac again. (I've done 5 times )

hi ive atached my chameleon boot plist try that mine has no darkwake in it it may make a difference make sure if you have dvd capabilities
that you use a sony or a pioneer dont ask me why mine works better with those ive also included an applescript to make sleep work add it to login items

i was wondering if you had tried running dual monitors with that system? i can have mountain lion up and running with full QE/CI using the dvi port, but i get nothing from the vga port. everything else works (audio, ethernet etc..) but i cannot run dual monitors - which in turn has forced me to drop all the way back down to leopard! i have tried everything to try and get it working but to no avail if you have any ideas as to what i could do to get it up and running that would be awesome!

processor - core2 quad (Q6600)
ram - 4gb ddr2
graphics - geforce 8500gt (fanless)
hdd - 500gb sata

Only tried dual monitors once had to reboot to get it recognised and then the monitor said out of range I think the monitor was faulty I'm pretty sure you need a dual dvi graphics card like a GT 9800 they work dual monitors out the box what options have you tried sorry I carnt be more help

I don't have the audio. I have installed various kext from http://www.osx86.net/ but nothing.
please can you help me.

Its always best not to randomly install stuff - if you install two different kexts - one of them might be correct, but unless you are able to remove the one that you do not want, then how do you know.

The first question is which software are you using to fix these kexts? Or are you adding them manually?
