My First Case Mod (G5)

Anyone have and idea how to see if it’s working on Mac OS X? My MBPr already has bluetooth so that’s the only bluetooth related device hat shows up, and windows shows no difference, although I am yet to check it in bootcamp to see if it's picked up. Do I have to restart or something of those likes?

Also, anyone have ideas for the best placement of Wifi and Bluetooth antennas? And if possible to use th case itself as an antenna without having interference between the 4 antennas?

what exactly are you trying to test on osx??? The answer too your second question is hard to judge. It might take a lot of trial and error. The antenna gets a lot of interference with the g5 case. I would recommend next to the cd/dvd tray (top left or right). I would invest in a bluetooth dongle if i were you.

I'm trying to see if the bluetooth dongle that I converted is recognized in OS X. and I placed the antennas at the top of the case, and now I need to test how well it works.

You shouldn't have to desolder anything, you should be able to unscrew and remove the antennae along with their wires.
