I finished my build about a week ago. Both wifi an Ethernet were working perfectly. So, I moved my computer in to another room and wifi was still working fine. Then, in the last day or so Wifi has stopped working. It seems to find the wireless network fine, but I get either no internet connection, or it is ridiculously slow. The problem has been happening since yesterday. The connection seems to be intermittent. Last night I set off a download and it successfully downloaded 15gig. But right now, I'm struggling just to view a page like Facebook or whatever. The other computers on the same wireless network are working fine. Sometimes rebooting the router or the computer helps, but sometimes not at all.

Why would I be getting these intermittent problems?

Can anyone recommend a router that they have found works well with this model of card?

I am experiencing the same issue. The signal is there but my machine just won't do anything on the internet. It doesn't happen with web browsing, oddly. It only occurs when I try to watch a video on Youtube, play a song on spotify or start a download.

If I had to guess it occurred when I updated to 10.8.4

I m using the same card as well and the same problem occurred to me too since the last 2 days. Problem not solved yet. I 've tried unplugging another similar card from my second machine and installed in this machine and the problem persisted. The other machine is running 10.8.3 while this problematic one is running 10.8.4.

I managed to solve my problem by deleting the preferences files according to instructions on the page in the following link:

I believe i've found a fix:

The OSX 10.8.4 Update made it so it loses connection when connecting to a secure network.

Someone on the Apple forums suggested disabling security and rejoining the network and it is working great so far! I recommend disabling SSID Broadcasting as you won't want anyone seeing an unsecure network, and hackers can still find them but I'm pretty sure there aren't any hackers in my area.
