I installed Ubuntu on my Hackintosh and accidentally installed GRUB onto the MBR instead of the partition that Ubuntu is installed on. Both ML and Ubuntu are on the same drive, which has a GUID partition scheme. I have a 2nd drive with an ML backup partition. I'm trying to get Chimera back on as the default since GRUB can't boot the ML partitions on its own.
I can boot to ML via USB Unibeast
- Reinstalling Chimera using Multibeast doesnt work
- using the chimera installer on ML partition from either the ML or ML backup, doesn't work

found other threads that suggested these, neither of which worked
- tried sudo fdisk -u /dev/disk0
- tried sudo fdisk -uy -f /usr/standalone/i386/boot0 /dev/disk0

Help? I'm open to using rEFIt or whatever, I just want to get GRUB off since it doesn't boot ML.

I've got the exact same problem jakeok. Did you get it resolved?

Thanks

Use Chameleon Wizard to install boot0 or boot0md (depending on machine config).
